Claim Specialist/Packet Team

ROP: $13/hr.
LOCATION: Lower Valley, El Paso, TX
SCHEDULE: Full time

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Claim Specialist Representative:
• Organizing and analyzing information; cross-checking and validating information
• Data entry and verifying data for computer processing
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and anatomy
• Preparing medical evidence for case arguments, document editing
• Verifying forms and documents for accuracy
• Preparing written documents and drafting documents and correspondence
• Maintain reference files; organizing and tracking case files
• Maintain client and document library
• Locating and communicating Veteran details and interacting with clients
• Making outbound calls and answering inbound calls
• Understanding and being HIPAA compliant
Required Skills & Competencies for Customer Service Representative:
• Degree in Health Services Administration, Health Sciences, or Public Health preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in office customer service environment preferred
• Minimum 1 year of phone-based customer service required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
• Thorough knowledge of grammar, document creation, APA format techniques, and medical terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to operate essential office equipment such as computer, printer, copy machine, and scanner
• Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible
• Ability to multitask and focus on task completion with little direction or need supervisory follow up
• Ability to work and maintain patience with diverse individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance goal-driven environment
