Cleaning Crew Evening Supervisor

ROP: $11/hr., Depends on Experience
LOCATION: West El Paso, TX
SCHEDULE: Full time, Days & Hours Vary

Job Summary: This position is for an evening cleaning crew supervisor. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The individual must be able to work various days and hours when necessary including weekends, holidays and night shift.
Objectives: Environmental Services will maintain all public and private spaces to Kinective Standards. Vacuum and mop floors, sanitize equipment, empty trash receptacles, replace trash can lining, and general housekeeping duties. As a staff member of Kinective Fitness Club you will be expected to provide inspiration, perspiration, and celebration with an exhilarating environment, an exceptional service, an uplifting experience and utter satisfaction at an unmistakable value. Lead, manage, train, and develop Environmental Services Associate according to the company’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Service Standards. Manage all department-specific initiatives in order to maximize the Environmental Services effectiveness.

1. Excellent communication skills
2. 2-3 years cleaning experience
3. 1 year of Management/leadership experience
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• To Obtain & Retain Members
• Establishment of cleaning standards and procedures for workers and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures
• Coaching and developing employees (Environmental Services Associate)
• Scheduling and assigning specific duties/roles to employees and also ensuring that they are carried out expertly
• Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis so as to know when they are worn-out and also request for replacement
• Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse
• Providing any form of required assistance to associates while they carry out their duties.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect gym equipment.
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Move heavy equipment and furniture.
• Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
• Provide the highest quality customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude at all times. Use members’ names as often as possible.
• Know the club’s emergency response protocol and be prepared to act. Exercise sound judgment with safety as a priority.
• Schedule the team to provide appropriate coverage based on the needs established by the club leadership team.
• Arrive to work 10 minutes early. Wear department-specific uniform.
• Be a team player by contributing to both club and organizational goals.
• Maintain open and honest communication with the leadership team; partner together as fitness professionals. Respond within 24 hours to all time-sensitive email, text, and/or phone requests.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate department goals on a regular basis in partnership with the Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Participate actively in all club, department, and company meetings. Inform the team and club members of developments, promotions, activities, and upcoming events within the club and throughout the organization.
• Coach, teach, educate, and support the team to be successful in their roles and to meet the goals set in partnership with the Operations Manager.
• Provide ongoing feedback to the team and deliver performance reviews.
• Communicate effectively with all team members.
• Proactively engage with team members and coach toward success in their roles. Document progress and opportunities; use disciplinary action and/or terminate employment if necessary.
• Hold regularly scheduled department meetings for ongoing training and information sharing. Submit the action notes of each meeting to the Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Accurately complete new hire paperwork and deliver to the Operations Manager so it can be submitted to HR before placing a new team member on the schedule.
• Promptly schedule an orientation for all new team members.
• Maintain current personnel records on the team, perform administrative duties, complete required paperwork accurately and on time and secure & protect sensitive financial and personal information.
• Use proper chain of command and ensure the team does the same.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
