Counter Sales

Job Title: COUNTER SALES
ROP: $8.00/hr., PLUS COMMISSION.
Location: EAST El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Full time, 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
SUMMARY:

We are looking for a professional with counter sales experience, preferably with a background in retail or in the construction and steel materials industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively advise customers, providing personalized and warm service, ensuring a satisfying shopping experience and contributing to sales goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Provide service and advice on steel and construction product sales.
• Manage counter sales, ensuring the correct selection of products and offers.
• Provide clear and detailed information on available products, including features, uses and benefits.
• Deliver warm, personalized, and professional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
• Handle orders, follow- up on sales, and manage inventory of products.
• Process payments and handle billing procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure service and sales standards are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Minimum of one year of experience in counter sales, preferably in the retail, construction, or steel materials sector.
• Basic knowledge of construction and steel products, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-lasting customer relationships.
• Ability to solve problems and offer effective solutions to customers.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with sales systems.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and results-oriented mindset.
• Responsibility and punctuality with the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control is a plus.
• Positive attitude, customer-focused, and strong communication skills.
• Bilingual(English/Spanish) a must.
