Job Summary: The Gym Manager is accountable for all POS and re-occurring revenues. This person directly leads a team of Membership Advisors, who sells and promotes the client’s memberships, programs, services, and products by motivating current and prospective members to achieve their fitness goals. Additionally, the Sales Manager maintains the business plan and marketing strategies to increase membership retention, membership sales, and drives revenue from the client’s memberships, products and services while also duplicating themselves from within the farm team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
● Creates and executes the sales department operational strategies to achieve business objectives
● Determines and monitors the department’s key performance indicators using the company’s Cumulative Production Report. The KPIs are:
o Closing Rate
o Membership Sales Goal
o Personal Training and Pilates Sales Goal
o EFT Transfer Percentage
o Appointments Scheduled
o Compliance Checklist Results
o New Member Assessments Scheduled

● Develops and manages sales department budgets
● Directs and leads sales department employees
● Hires, supervises, develops and mentors sales team members
● Assists with corporate sales negotiations, attends sales presentations and helps close deals
● Directly manages high-profile customer accounts
● Develops and oversees a sales training program for new and existing employees
● Partners with marketing to develop lead generation and revenue generation programs, and to create high performing sales collateral
● Oversees and drives adoptions of sales technology including client relationship management tools
● Determines sales training needs for the organization, divisions or departments
● Coaches sales team on a variety of effective sales techniques
● Oversees the set up and maintenance of club software and associated sales reports
● Educates Membership Advisors on gym membership SOP’s
● Achieves daily, weekly and monthly acquisition and retention goals through persistent and enthusiastic outreach
● Keeps informed of new training methods, competitor techniques, and pending introduction of new company products to ensure current and effective raining programs for sales team members
● Analyzes performance of sales personnel to determine need for additional training
● Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service
● Plans and directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs
● Reviews operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability
● Prepares budgets and approves budget expenditures
● Consults with department heads to plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications
● Customizes the buying experience by encouraging involvement with our people, programs and places to align with the unique needs, interests and goals of each prospective member
● Collaborates daily with club leadership to ensure effective onboarding and strong retention of members
● Initiates, develops and maintains personalized relationships with members
● Must be familiar with working with CRM softwares (Very Important)
Most importantly, the Sales Manager is responsible for making sure the following sub-departments are functional within the Sales Department:
• Community outreach
• Proper lead followup using Hubspot, our CRM platform
• Corporate Sales
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
● High School Diploma
● 3+ years of experience in sales management
● 5+ years of experience in direct or outside sales (B2B a plus)
● Strong prospecting skill and excellent closing skills
● Ability to work a variety of work schedules
● Experience working with CRM software platforms for lead management
● Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or lift up to 50 pounds
● Must be able to work a split shift if needed
Preferred Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field
● Experience selling and leading sales teams within the Health, Fitness and Wellness industry
● Prior experience working with HubSpot software
