KIDS CARE ATTENDANT

ROP: $7.25 – $9.00/hr., Depending on Experience
LOCATION: West El Paso, TX
SCHEDULE: Part-time Work Schedule (Wed-Fri.) 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. (Sat-Sun) 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

We are seeking dependable, responsible and mature individuals. The Kids Care Attendant is responsible for assisting with the operation of the facility nursery and or child care. This position requires continuous supervision of children and initiation of fun activities as well as making sure the is clean and organized at all times.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: As a team member, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise activities of all assigned children in the kids center and ensures child remains in designated areas.
• Interaction with children and the safety of the children is the number one priority,
• Provide child care to children including paging parent/guardian if necessary to assist with discipline issues and attending to personal needs.
• Report any incidents to Kids Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Report all member complaints to Kids Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Punctuality, positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to follow direction from supervising staff is a must.
• Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional member check in, and telephone service.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the play areas.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the facility.
• Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
• Ensure that members’ time at Fitness Club is as pleasurable as possible.
• Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of Fitness Club’s services, facilities, amenities, policies, procedures, memberships, and rates.
• Provide the highest quality customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude at all times. Use members’ names as often as possible. Ensures all members, guests and staff feel competent, confident, and connected.
• Embrace and follow the company guidelines outlined in the Training and Policy Manuals, and any applicable department-specific team manuals and handbooks.
• Respond to member concerns and/or comments in a timely and professional way.
• Arrive to work 10 minutes early. Wear department-specific uniform.
• Be a team player by contributing to both club and organizational goals.
• Maintain open and honest communication with the leadership team and company personnel; partner together as fitness professionals. Respond within 24 hours to all time-sensitive email, text, and/or phone requests.
• Participate actively in all club, department, and company meetings. Inform the team and club members of developments, promotions, activities, and upcoming events within the club and throughout the organization.
• Communicate effectively with all team members.
• Use proper chain of command and ensure the team does the same.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of child care experience
• Gym experience preferred
• Positive Attitude
• Punctual and reliable
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Be fluent in English, preferably Bilingual in Spanish
• Must have a wide availability range
• Knowledgeable in technology to communicate via computer, tablet, smartphone, or text

Education:
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
