Kitchen Prep Cook
ROP: $8.50 /hour
Location: El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday 2:00pm – 8:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY: A Kitchen Prep, or Prep Cook, is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the daily operations of a kitchen. This role ensures that all food items are washed, chopped, measured, and ready for cooking, helping chefs and line cooks maintain efficiency and consistency. Prep cooks also help maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the kitchen. Be comfortable to be in or next to a fryer.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients
• Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes
• Prepare basic items such as sauces, dressings, and stocks
• Label, store, and organize food properly
• Maintain a clean and sanitary prep area
• Assist cooks and chefs during busy service times
• Be comfortable in or next to fryer
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Other duties as assigned.
