Production Supervisor 2nd Shift
ROP: $15.00/hour, max $20/hr. Negotiable
Location: East El Paso, TX
Work hours: Monday to Friday 4:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
General Description: A food manufacturing production supervisor is responsible for overseeing
the day-to-day operations of a food production facility to ensure that products are made
efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Responsible for managing and
overseeing all production floor activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs
and maintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of
direction and focus
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant
staff
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
• Commit to plant safety procedures
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards,
metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining
• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary
documentation.
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety
regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bilingual. English and Spanish
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
• Knowledgeable in MS Office and Excel
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Due to the environment of the plant, must be able to work in various weather and
temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control procedures, and
production/packaging processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production targets.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and other
stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and make decisions under
pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining product quality and safety.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or evenings if required.
