Customer Service
Location: Westway
Work Schedule: Hours & Days Vary (afternoon positions)
ROP: $9.00/hr.
SUMMARY: Individuals first business priority is to assist any customer or potential customer. Nothing is more important than being courteous, friendly, helpful, and prompt in the attention you give to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY DUTIES: Report to supervisor before beginning shift for daily duties and responsibilities. Complete duties/responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. Count money/tray at beginning of shift and then count money at the end of the shift to ensure employee balances. Duties include knowing all the laws associated with selling items such as alcohol, tobacco, lottery, WIC, SNAP (Food Stamps), etc. Cashier should also be able to understand and follow the rules and regulations regarding all methods of payment (cash, checks, etc.) in order to perform daily operations, as well as respect any and all security guidelines put in place to prevent store losses (Manager Key Cards, Register Security/Control Checks, etc.). Greet all customers respectfully, charge correctly, and verify all transactions accordingly. Bag the customer’s purchased items when baggers are unavailable.
SECONDARY DUTIES: Cleaning that includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, and removing trash. Check floors around area hourly to make sure they are clean (safety purposes). Will be asked to do returns and stock merchandise if needed. Help other departments when needed.
Requirements: Previous experience is required. Must have Food Handlers Card and TABC certification. Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Physical Demands of Job:
Stand and walk for several hours at a time. Carry/lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted, but always ask for help when needed. Know proper methods of using a box cutter/knife, pallet jack, hand trucks, and stacking merchandise. Know and follow our Safety Program at all times. Work several shifts; Company runs on customer’s needs and is open 7 days a week. Every department has a dress code and must be followed.
Construction
ROP: $DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE/hr.

SUMMARY: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Assist in other duties as needed. May operate hand and power tools and variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage. Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials. Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: Smooth’s and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel. Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping. smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete. Finishes concrete surfaces, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impart finish. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound. Molds expansion joints and edges. Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish. Produces rough concrete surface with broom. Mixes cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine. Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms. Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces. Perform other duties as assigned.

DRIVER

SUMMARY: Individuals will deliver material for Jobe Materials between plants, quarries and jobsites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Daily inspection of assigned dump truck.
• Maintain daily and weekly logs to be turned into main office.
• Report at the end of shift (Each driver time varies. It depends on Job work load for that day. Weekend work varies and is not consistent.

Production/Warehouse
ROP: $10.00/hr. plus (eligible for raise after 90 day probation period)

Start Date: As soon as possible.
SUMMARY: Responsible for hands-on production work and related tasks. The tasks are labor-intensive in which we roll, assemble, shred, and portion food and food components. The operator will be expected to work on their feet throughout the day shift from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday (opportunities for over-time exist). The operator will be expected to conclude sanitation duties at the end of the day prior to clocking out.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (not intended to be all inclusive):
Clean and sanitize all food contact surfaces prior to the start of shift and at the conclusion of the shift.
Prepare packaged food. Package finished goods.
Roll, assemble and portion food items (flautas, tamales, chile rellenos, etc).
Par-fry long green chile in hot oil vats
Cook and formulate food (includes moving/turning large quantities of food in the kettles with paddles)
Prep and cut all vegetables, potatoes, fruits for the entire day’s production.
Ensure that food is being held properly at hot and cold holding temperatures (when assigned).
Keep area clean. Sanitize all food contact surfaces as needed throughout the day.
Follow Company processes and procedures for manufacturing and food safety.
QUALIFICATIONS: Person must show basic knowledge of general food safety principals, demonstrate basic proficiency in prep tasks and hold a valid Food Handlers Permit. Person is not required to have a Food Handlers Permit to begin but must successfully complete a course prior to the end of the probation period.

JOB SUMMARY: The Sports Official/Ref will assist the Site Coordinator and/or Executive Director in managing Youth and/or Adult Sports programs for the site in accordance with the Association’s goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Improve and assist in development of all phases of sports programs for the site. Use of creativity is encouraged.
2. Risk Management – make sure facilities/equipment are clean, safe and in proper working condition prior to use and ensure equipment is used appropriately by participants.
3. Be responsible for all equipment owned by the YMCA. Must help set up and then return equipment to the YMCA.

6. Update standings of all leagues/tournaments, scheduled and on-going as requested.
