Rate of Pay: $8/hr., Depending on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Position requires candidate to perform duties such as working in the warehouse condensing merchandise, stocking shelves, stocking fridges with ice cream, frozen foods, and beverages such as milk, juices, sodas and alcoholic beverages. Duties also include sweeping and mopping warehouse, condensing card boards and throwing the trash. This individual is also responsible for sweeping and mopping the whole store, Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience is a plus but not a must. Must be willing to work various days and hours. Job offer is contingent upon Pre-employment results.


Meat Market Attendant or Butcher

Rate of Pay: $10/hr.
Location: Westway, TX
Work Schedule: Full Time,6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Hours and Days Vary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Position requires candidate to perform duties such as finishing the preparation of certain meats (fajitas, discada, vegetables for meats), stocking meat and vegetables in the appropriate case for meat market display, taking care of customers and taking orders, the attendant will also assist the butchers by washing dishes, sweeping and mopping the meat market area, taking out trash and condensing card board boxes. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience is a plus but not a must. Must be willing to work after and evening hours. Job offer is contingent upon Pre-employment results.


Cashier(s)

ROP: $10/hr.
Location: Westway, TX
Work Schedule: Hours & Days Vary, store hours 6 am. To 8 p.m., Monday to Sunday

SUMMARY: Individuals first business priority is to assist any customer or potential customer. Nothing is more important than being courteous, friendly, helpful, and prompt in the attention you give to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY DUTIES: Report to supervisor before beginning shift for daily duties and responsibilities. Complete duties/responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. Count money/tray at beginning of shift and then count money at the end of the shift to ensure employee balances. Duties include knowing all the laws associated with selling items such as alcohol, tobacco, lottery, WIC, SNAP (Food Stamps), etc. Cashier should also be able to understand and follow the rules and regulations regarding all methods of payment (cash, checks, etc.) in order to perform daily operations, as well as respect any and all security guidelines put in place to prevent store losses (Manager Key Cards, Register Security/Control Checks, etc.). Greet all customers respectfully, charge correctly, and verify all transactions accordingly. Bag the customer’s purchased items when baggers are unavailable.

SECONDARY DUTIES: Cleaning that includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, and removing trash. Check floors around area hourly to make sure they are clean (safety purposes). Will be asked to do returns and stock merchandise if needed. Help other departments when needed.

Requirements: Previous experience is required. Must have Food Handlers Card and TABC certification. Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Physical Demands of Job:
Stand and walk for several hours at a time. Carry/lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted, but always ask for help when needed. Know proper methods of using a box cutter/knife, pallet jack, hand trucks, and stacking merchandise. Know and follow our Safety Program at all times. Work several shifts; Company runs on customer’s needs and is open 7 days a week. Every department has a dress code and must be followed.


Kitchen Cooks

Rate of Pay: $10/hr.
Location: Westway
Work Schedule: Hours and Days vary, Store hours, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.

SUMMARY: Individuals will be preparing and serving orders for customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Individuals are responsible in assisting the cook with orders placed by customers. Individuals will help prepare the orders and serve them to customers. Will also help clean work area and follow all health standards. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have food handler’s card and previous related work experience preferred.


Meat Market (Butcher)

ROP: $9.00/hr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY DUTIES: Report to supervisor before beginning shift for daily duties and responsibilities. Complete duties/responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. Since the majority of merchandise needs to be refrigerated time is an important factor. Having knowledge of the department including: prices, weight of boxes, names of meats and seafood, and rotation, so they can be implemented on a daily basis. Unload truck and breakdown pallets of merchandise. Keep meat market area clean and clear of all potential hazards. Make sure pricing is correct.
SECONDARY DUTIES: Cleaning that includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, washing floors and equipment, and removing trash. Check floors hourly to make sure they are clean. Keep warehouse and coolers clean. Make sure items are well displayed, fresh and available for all customers. Learn to use the bailer. Crush cardboard and make bails. Help other departments when needed.

Requirements: Previous experience is required. Must have Food Handlers Card. Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Physical Demands of Job:
Stand and walk for several hours at a time. Carry/lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted, but always ask for help when needed. Know and follow the Company’s Safety Program at all times. Know proper methods of using a box cutter, pallet jack, hand trucks, and proper stacking merchandise techniques. Those authorized to work saw, grinder, mixer, (any equipment), must use as manufacturer states. All equipment manuals are located in the stores office for review if in doubt. Employees must wear necessary clothing and equipment to perform job in a safe manner at all times. Work several shifts; Company runs on customer’s needs and is open 7 days a week. Every department has a dress code and must be followed. Work in cold refrigerator temperatures and varying outside temperatures as well. Encourage sales to all potential Customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Prepare and serve foods in a prompt, efficient, and safe manner in accordance with Health Department codes and regulations. Following the Company’s menu, make sure the display counter is full and well presented at all times. Make sure the food looks fresh and appetizing to customers. Have knowledge of the department, including prices and names of products, and implement that knowledge on a daily basis. Keep work area clean (Health Department Codes and Company Regulations) and clear of all potential safety hazards. Make sure all food is labeled and dated.
Examples:
Cooks: Follow all recipes and menu items as requested by Management. Keep area clean and ready for service at all times.
Dishwashers: Follow all safety and health department rules regarding cleaning and washing of equipment.
Front line: Attend all in a courteous, friendly, helpful and be prompt in attention. Serve the required portions and price all items properly.
SECONDARY DUTIES: Cleaning that includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, and removing trash. Clean all machinery following proper procedures. Make sure food has not passed its expiration date. Learn to use a bailer. Work as a team so our Customer gets the best service available. Therefore, we need to assist wherever our services are needed or where our Customer’s needs lead us to. Help other departments when needed.

Requirements: Previous experience is required. Must have Food Handlers Card. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred.
