Head Lifeguard

PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Supervise all members, guests, and customers in the pool area.
2. Teach members and non-members progressive aquatic lessons.

5. Assist with aquatic staff work schedules, to be approved by aquatic coordinator or executive director.
6. Clean and maintain all pool areas.

9. Report to maintenance/supervisors any chemical/mechanical aquatic needs to include needed aquatic supplies.
10. Act as “go-to” person for aquatic staff in the absence of supervisors.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Ensure the safety of all swimmers in your area.
2. Enforce all pool rules.
3. Prevent accidents.

7. Report unsafe situations to your supervisor.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
1. Arrive 5 -10 minutes before you are scheduled to be on deck.

3. While on duty you must wear lifeguard pack around your waist & carry rescue tube.
4. Remain alert and onteh pool deck at all times while on duty.
5. Check chlorine, Ph levels, water level, water and air temperature in pool area and spa.
6. Clean the pool area when no one is in pool.
7. Straighten equipment.
8. Greet members.
9. Keep deck clear of clutter.

Lot Maintenance/Propane Cylinder Attendant

JOB SUMMARY: The Sports Official/Ref will assist the Site Coordinator and/or Executive Director in managing Youth and/or Adult Sports programs for the site in accordance with the Association’s goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Improve and assist in development of all phases of sports programs for the site. Use of creativity is encouraged.
2. Risk Management - make sure facilities/equipment are clean, safe and in proper working condition prior to use and ensure equipment is used appropriately by participants.
3. Be responsible for all equipment owned by the YMCA. Must help set up and then return equipment to the YMCA.
4. Public Relations - maintain good working relationships with participants and/or school staff where the YMCA may be using their facilities.

6. Update standings of all leagues/tournaments, scheduled and on-going as requested.
7. Stay informed on all up-coming events pertaining to youth/adult sports.

Camp Counselor

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the site summer Camp Coordinator and Executive Director; be responsible for the supervision and management of a school-age group of children between the ages of 5 to 12 years. Maintain in every way the objectives of the Association and strengthen the relationship between counselor and program participants.
JOB SEGMENTS:
