Restaurant Manager

Rate of Pay: $17/hr. Depending on Experience
Work Schedule: 5 p.m. to closing

SUMMARY: Responsible for overall operations of the restaurant, which may include overseeing the staff, monitoring inventory, purchasing equipment and supplies, and ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all food and beverage regulations. Will oversee over 3 or 4 managers. Other duties as assigned.

Trains, hires, and schedules other employees. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Qualifications: Must have previous experience as Bartender and Waiter/Waitress.


Flat Iron Cook (Parilleros)

ROP: $10 - $13/hr., Depends on Experience
Location: East El Paso
Work Schedule: Full Time, Hours and Days vary

SUMMARY: Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Reads menu to estimate food requirements and orders food from supplier or procures food from storage. Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe. Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking. Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked. Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use. Inspects equipment for cleanliness and functional operation. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have related restaurant experience. Must have Food Handlers. Bilingual English/Spanish required.


Prep Cooks and/or Kitchen Helpers

ROP: $10 - $13/hr., Depends on Experience
Location: East El Paso
Work Schedule: Full Time, Hours and Days vary

SUMMARY: Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurants. May order supplies, keep records and accounts, price items on menu, or plan menu.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
• Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Restaurant experience preferred. Must have Food Handlers. Bilingual English/Spanish required.


Wait Staff

ROP: $2.15/hr. + tips
Location: East El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Days & Hours Vary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Take orders from patrons for food or beverages. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Inform customers of daily specials. Clean tables and/or counters after patrons have finished dining. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers. Escort customers to their tables.. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of experience, customer service, multitasking
