Food Manufacturing Industrial Kitchen and Production (1st shift)

Rate of Pay: $11.00/hr. – $16/hr., Depending on Experience.
Location: East El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. a 4:00am, 1st shift

SUMMARY: Productos Real is a food manufacturing facility specializing in wholesale Mexican foods. The Food Manufacturing Industrial Kitchen and Production employee plays a critical role in the production of our food products. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our food manufacturing team as an Industrial Kitchen Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for working in a fast-paced, hot, and wet environment to assist in the production of food products. Your primary tasks will involve preparing ingredients, operating industrial kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of the production line in the kitchen/cook room.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Ingredient Preparation: Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to established recipes and production guidelines.
• Operation of Industrial Equipment: Operate industrial kitchen equipment such as vats, elevators, conveyors, and packaging machines, following safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Food Production: Contribute to the production line by performing tasks such as braiding, cutting, chopping, and portioning food items into racks.
• Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards, including product temperatures, coction, consistency, and appearance.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Adhere to strict cleanliness and sanitation standards, including maintaining a clean work area, washing equipment, and following proper hygiene practices.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize risks in the hot and wet working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and restocking ingredient and supplies to ensure continuous production.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate production and inventory records, including batch numbers, weights, and quantities produced.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations under the guidance of supervisors.
• Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with supervisors, fellow workers, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Support in all areas of the kitchen and additional tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Experience: Prior experience in a food manufacturing or industrial kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks in a hot and wet environment.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate production demands.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control, following recipes and instructions accurately, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food safety practices, including personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and proper storage procedures.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage tasks to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
