Production/Packaging Line (2nd Shift)

Rate of Pay: $11.00/hr. – $16/hr., Depending on Experience
Location: El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

SUMMARY: Food manufacturing facility specializing in wholesale Mexican foods. The Food Manufacturing Production/Packaging Employee plays a critical role in the production and packaging of food products. This position involves performing various tasks on the production line, including operating machinery, monitoring processes, ensuring quality standards, and packaging finished products. The Production/Packaging Employee is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contributing to efficient operations.


• Operating Machinery: Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery (i.e., pallet jack/forklift) and equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operation during the manufacturing process.
• Quality Assurance: Follow quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications. Inspect products for defects, adhere to quality guidelines, and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.
• Packaging and Labeling: Package finished products according to designated procedures, ensuring accurate labeling, proper seals, and appropriate packaging materials. Follow packaging guidelines and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Assembly Line Work: Perform tasks on the production line, such as sorting, weighing, measuring, mixing ingredients, or assembling components. Maintain a steady workflow and meet production targets.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and utensils according to standard protocols and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production and packaging areas.
• Material Handling: Receive and store raw materials, ingredients, or packaging materials. Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, product counts, and production logs. Complete production reports or forms as necessary.
• Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, address production issues, and promote effective communication within the team.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, or waste reduction. Provide suggestions for optimizing production processes or enhancing product quality.
• Training and Development: Participate in training programs and sessions to enhance job skills, knowledge of procedures, and adherence to food safety practices.
• Adherence to Regulations: Follow all applicable regulations, including food safety, health, and hygiene standards. Maintain awareness of industry-specific regulations and updates.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or a production environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, hygiene standards, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment and perform repetitive tasks effectively.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining product quality and safety.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderately heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or evenings if required.
• Adherence to safety regulations and the ability to follow SOPs.
