Road Construction Workers

Rate of Pay: $12 - $16/hour, DOE,
Location El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Full Time
SUMMARY: Smooth’s and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties. Labor workers will be removing concrete debri, tying rebar, laying concrete and moving company vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel. Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping. smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete. Finishes concrete surfaces, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impart finish. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound. Molds expansion joints and edges. Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish. Produces rough concrete surface with broom. Mixes cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine. Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms. Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced Concrete Finisher. Must have own hand tools.


Pipe layers & Laborers

ROP: $10 - $12 - $14/hr., Depends on Experience, Laborers, $8.50 - $8.75/hr., Depends on Experience
Location: Various Locations, Must be willing to travel out of town
Work Schedule: Full Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Individuals will be laying piping for street, water & sewer. Laborers will be assisting the pipe layers with materials, keeping the jobsite clean. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals must have two years of experience in underground sewer and water. Must have worked in street, water & sewer construction.


Concrete Finishers

Rate of Pay: $14/hr. - $16/hr., Depending on Experience
Location: Various Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time M-F

Block/Brick Mason Laborer(s)

Rate of Pay: $15/hr.-$18/hr., Depending on Experience

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday 6:30am – 4:00pm

Job Description:
- Apply smooth, even layers of mortar and set bricks
- Use equipment and tools to safely perform basic construction tasks
- Correct and report any safety hazards to superintendents/project managers on site
- Cut openings into walls and/or other structures, repair surfaces, cement mixing
- Ensure laying of blocks or bricks conforms to blueprints, plans, or drawings

Job Requirements:
- Must be 18+ (no degree required)
- Must have five years of previous rock masonry experience
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and material weighing more 40+ pounds
- Requires standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time
- Must have adequate knowledge of relevant tools, masonry techniques and attention to detail
- Must be able to read and follow instructions


Block/Brick Mason

Rate of Pay: $20/hr.-$23/hr., Depending on Experience

Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday 6:30am – 4:00pm

Asphalt Roller Hand

ROP: $Depending on Experience/hr.
Location: Santa Teresa, West El Paso and Horizon City
Work Schedule: Full Time
SUMMARY: The Roller Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Breakdown Rollers and Finish Rollers. The Roller Operator distributes, breaks down, compresses and gives a finished surface to cooling asphalt.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• The first stage breaks down the asphalt mix with a breakdown roller.
• The second stage compresses it with a roller, and the finish roller gives the final finish.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as an asphalt roller hand is a plus. Willing to train.


Asphalt Raker

ROP: $Depending on Experience/hr.
Location: Santa Teresa, West El Paso, and Horizon Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Shoveling and raking
• Running wheelbarrow
• Safely backing/dumping trucks into paver
• Assists with the application of asphalt on highways/private roadways/parking lots/driveways using handheld tools.
• Digs, spreads, rake, and levels asphalt.
• Smooths and adjusts surface irregularities
• Restores surface finish
• Spreads asphalt to proper grade and finishes before compaction
• Matches and finishes freshly made asphalt paving joints evenly.
• Work around asphalt pavers shoveling operating various equipment to include roller and road broom
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience is a plus as an asphalt raker. Willing to train.
