Asphalt Raker

ROP: $13/hr.
Location: Santa Teresa, West El Paso, and Horizon Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Shoveling and raking
• Running wheelbarrow
• Safely backing/dumping trucks into paver
• Assists with the application of asphalt on highways/private roadways/parking lots/driveways using handheld tools.
• Digs, spreads, rake, and levels asphalt.
• Smooths and adjusts surface irregularities
• Restores surface finish
• Spreads asphalt to proper grade and finishes before compaction
• Matches and finishes freshly made asphalt paving joints evenly.
• Work around asphalt pavers shoveling operating various equipment to include roller and road broom
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience is a plus as an asphalt raker. Willing to train.


Concrete Finisher(s)

Rate of Pay: $14/hr. - $16/hr., Depending on Experience
Location: Various Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time M-F

SUMMARY: Smooth’s and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel. Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping. smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete. Finishes concrete surfaces, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impart finish. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound. Molds expansion joints and edges. Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish. Produces rough concrete surface with broom. Mixes cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine. Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms. Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced Concrete Finisher. Must have own hand tools.


Pipe layers & Laborers

ROP: $12.50/hr., plus health & life insurance benefits, Laborers, $12/hr., plus health & life insurance benefits
Location: Various Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Individuals will be laying piping for street, water & sewer. Laborers will be assisting the pipe layers with materials, keeping the jobsite clean. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals must have two years of experience in underground sewer and water. Must have worked in street, water & sewer construction.


Pipelayers

ROP: $17/hr. - $20/hr., Depends on Experience
Location: Various Locations
Work Schedule: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY: We seeking a highly motivated Pipelayer to assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for water, wastewater, and storm mains.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems.
• Knowledge of piping systems, wastewater systems, storm drains, and other fixtures.
• Knowledge of system operation and study of project plans or working drawings.
• Knowledge of installation trench shoring systems.
• Experience spotting excavator operators to find existing utilities.
• Inspect the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions and ensure no safety issues exist that would cause work delays.
• Lay pipe for water, wastewater, storm mains.
• Connect pipes using belled, welded, threaded, or cemented joints.
• Cut, thread, bend, and secure pipes to structures and appurtenances.
• Configure pipe routes, align pipes in pipeline sections, slide pipe into trenches, insert pipe sections, align and connect pipe segments. • Install pipe to proper grade for gravity flow installation.
• Ensure pipe installation is correct and tested for any leaks.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Help lead others on the ground for safe operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check or drug screen.
• 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction in the areas of small-diameter pipe, large-diameter pipe, and water, and wastewater service installation.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, bend, twist, pull, push, lift more than 30 lbs.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Capable of safely using and operating hand tools, small equipment, and small machinery.
