CONCRETE FINISHERS & LABORERS

Rate of Pay: $DOE/hour
Location: 1860 W. Paisano
Work Schedule: Full Time M-F 6:30am-4:00pm

SUMMARY: Smooth’s and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete. Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel. Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping. smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete. Finishes concrete surfaces, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impart finish. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound. Molds expansion joints and edges. Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish. Produces rough concrete surface with broom. Mixes cement with hoe or concrete-mixing machine. Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms. Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced Concrete Finisher. Must have own hand tools.


ARTIFICIAL TURF INSTALLER

ROP: $12/hr., Depends on Experience
Location: El Paso, TX
Work Schedule: Full Time & Part Time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Duties include digging, pushing wheelbarrows, laying out and securing turf, lifting, sweeping, driving nails. Must be physically capable of consistently lifting 100 pounds, carrying 100 pounds, bending, kneeling for long periods. Other duties as assigned.

Bonus points for:
– Construction, carpet installation or previous synthetic turf installation experience


Labor for Landscaping

Rate of Pay: $9 - $11.89/hr.
Work Schedule: M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

SUMMARY: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of segmental concrete masonry wall units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gather and remove litter.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
• Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications: Driver’s License is preferrable. Must be willing to work in hot sun.

ELECTRICIAN HELPERS

ROP: $10/hr., Depends on Experience (Local), $15/hr., Depending on Experience (Out of town) plus Per Diem
Location: Various Job sites
Work Schedule: Full time
SUMMARY: Electricians Helpers work under the supervision of a licensed electrician to install or repair various electrical systems. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Assists ELECTRICIAN in installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment aboard ship and in shipyard facilities: Supplies ELECTRICIANS with materials and using tools, hand trucks, or by carrying material.
2. Measures and cuts pipe conduit to specified length, using steel tape and hacksaw.
3. Threads conduit ends, using pipe threader, and connects couplings and conduit fittings, using wrench.
4. Fabricates conduit support brackets from strap iron strips, using hacksaw, shaping dies, hammer, and punch.
5. Secures brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pulls wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
6. Strips insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers.
7. Ties or screws wires to terminals for subsequent soldering.
8. Other duties as assigned by Journeyman Electrician
QUALIFICATIONS: Current TX Driver License; Apprentice license with State of Texas a plus. If willing to travel out of town to Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland and Odessa, per diem will be paid for travel (transportation, food and lodging).


Journeyman Electrician

Rate of Pay: $17 -$20/hr., Depending on Experience
Work Schedule: M-F

SUMMARY: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Circuit installation per National Electrical Code. Other duties assigned.

Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician License through TDLR, commercial and industrial experience (mfg), middle voltage(480 220 120) and, valid driver’s license. Experienced is a must.
